Overview

Bergler Mineralöl GmbH is a family-owned company headquartered in Weiden. At 15 locations in Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate, Bergler ensures the logistics and transport of goods. In addition to providing fuel for vehicles, they also offer products like food and drinks, as well as services such as car washes, tire changes, and repair services on site.

Challenge

Who hasn't experienced this? You're in a hurry, running late, and to top it all off, you realize your tank is almost empty. Quickly pull up to the pump, fill the car, dash inside to pay, and immediately drive off. "The receipt is rarely even taken in these cases," says cashier Jenny Kopp. What remains are bags full of paper receipts made from environmentally harmful thermal paper. But that's not all. The costs for this avoidable printing also add up with high transaction volumes, raising the question of why one should, metaphorically speaking, print money directly into the trash when alternatives already exist.

Solution

The solution is anybill's digital receipt. It's paperless, preventing the printing of thermal paper and thus helping to conserve resources. The cost factor is also addressed. "Compared to traditional paper receipts, we save around 30% in costs with the digital receipt, which amounts to a lot over the year," explains Simone Bösl, who is responsible for marketing, among other things, at Bergler. Furthermore, the digital receipt offers the additional possibility of placing content areas that can be individually customized. "This creates another digital customer channel through which we can reach our customers with additional offers and information," explains Bösl. This opens up entirely new possibilities for cross-selling and up-selling, resulting in significantly more intensive and thus improved customer contact.
