The bookstore bookworm, with 4 locations in Regensburg and the surrounding area, was able to get started with the integration of anybill into its cash register systems shortly after the forced break due to the corona pandemic. For Bookworm, the motto for this year was sustainability. With anybill, you were able to get a step closer to this goal.

Herausforderung

Although paper is forced to be found in quantities in bookstores, it is often superfluous at the cash register, unlike with books, and also causes poorly recyclable waste due to the thermal coating. However, the obligation to issue receipts, which was introduced in Germany in 2020, requires that the annoying receipts must be issued. Even if customers don't ask for it and it ends up in the trash directly.

Lösung

With the digital receipt from anybill, bookworms can save paper at the cash registers. anybill enables the legally required receipt to be met as soon as the QR code is displayed on the customer display. Customers can simply scan the QR Code at the checkout terminal with their smartphone camera and receive the digital receipt directly via PDF, email or an app from Anybill's Partner Network.
