Bitkom e.V. - Working Group Trade
The Trade Working Group is dedicated to modern IT topics in order to concretise far-reaching upheavals in our everyday economic life and to support the progressive networking in German trade. Especially in trade, modern technologies enable new sales opportunities and markets.
Modern networking is permanently changing our consumer behaviour. This development and the widespread use of smartphones and tablets have already established a way of thinking and consuming in so-called omni-channel concepts. This is why it is now difficult to define direct boundaries between online and offline retail. Every day, innovative technologies enable new possibilities in the collection, processing and analysis of information from German retailers.
The Retail Working Group pursues the goal of evaluating new trends in the technology industry and promoting them through jointly identified challenges along the digital supply chain. Particularly important is the networking of key players and an intensive interdisciplinary dialogue on the opportunities and risks of innovative technologies for the realisation of digital processes.
In addition, the AK deals with the question of how companies can successfully present themselves against the backdrop of digitalisation in order to position themselves on the market in the long term. In this context, scientifically based research promotes debates on sustainable innovations.
These developments provide German retailers with an enormous opportunity to meet the demands of their target groups with innovative solutions and alternatives.
anybill as a solution for the chaos of notes directly at the point of sale
Together, the Retail Working Group is committed to a growing network of retail, technology, logistics, telecommunications and service companies. The broad spectrum enables the working group to identify and advance current trends and challenges in the digitalisation of trade.
We are pleased that Lea Frank represents the German start-ups in the retail working group as a member of the board and are convinced that with anybill we are creating a decisive technology for digital networking at the point of sale to drive forward the visibility of stationary retail and establish an environmentally friendly alternative for printed till receipts in the future.
