Munich/Regensburg - January 20, 2022. Since the beginning of the year, Jan Sobota (40) has been Chief Operating & Financial Officer of anybill, enabler for digital receipts. In previous positions, Sobota has led businesses with full responsibility for Finance & Operations. In doing so, Sobota has built agile teams in a fast-growing environment as well as driven new product and business model development and revenue and earnings growth. As an investor, the Aachener native has worked closely with startups, negotiated investments, and guided founders and companies through various fundraising and growth phases.

Sobota also built a corporate startup from an MVP with zero users to an app with over 1 million active users and profitable results in a very short time. "Here, I also dealt intensively with the shopping behavior of users and retail, right down to the receipt. That’s one of the reasons why I find anybill so exciting”, says Sobota.

Sobota has also gained valuable experience for the rapid growth of digital innovations and technologies as Digital Director at Condé Nast Germany, Board Observer at Farfetch and Vestiare Collective independent strategy consultant and most recently as Principal Expert at eccelerate.
