The Unverpackt e.V. - Association of Unpacked Shops is the professional association of unpacked stores in Germany and the German-speaking EU. The association was founded on April 21, 2018 in Nuremberg.

The purpose of the association is to represent and promote the non-material, legal, economic, labor market as well as socio-political interests of its members, which includes combating unfair competition to promote a constructive, fair and public welfare-oriented economy; to promote the Zero Waste philosophy and the specialized trade competence of its members; to promote research leading to sustainable packaging and logistics systems; to raise awareness of environmental problems, to demonstrate and exemplify to producers, retailers and consumers waste-avoiding and resource-saving ways of consuming and doing business; to actively promote the protection of the natural life-support systems of humans, animals and plants.
